Department of Physics celebrated “National Science Day” on Feb. 28, 2015. Prof. R. K. Paliwal, Dean, Basic Sciences, Mewar University inaugurated the function with lamp lightening and Saraswati puja and speaks on the importance of Science day celebration. A gallery of some Indian scientists was displayed in the department which was created by Raghav, Dikhsa and Manpreet Kaur (B.Tech 1st year students), after that Mr. Sanjay Singh delivered an introductory speech on the importance of science in our life along with the tribute to Sir C.V. Raman. A speech was also delivered by Mr. Balram Panda on the life of Sir C.V. Raman. A Model showing a Hydro Power Plant was shown by Mr. Wajahat Bin Jalal. At the end Dr. Gulzar Ahmed delivered a speech on the life of Sir C.V. Raman and gave vote of thanks on behalf of department
A National Conference on Materials Science (NCMS-2014) was organized by Dept. of Physics partially funded by DST, New Delhi and DST, Jaipur, dated Oct. 17-18, 2014 at Mewar University Campus in which nearly about 50 participants delivered their presentations on different research articles.
